SKATE HEAT MOLDING
Heat molding – aka “baking” new hockey skates is a method to help break them in faster so they fit your foot better and cause less pain during the break-in period.
OUR HEAT MOLDING SERVICE
Our skate oven is specifically designed for heat molding new hockey skates and our staff is trained in properly performing the heat molding process. You can expect to remain seated with your skates on for approximately 15 minutes during the process.
We’ll heat up your skates for 7-10 minutes before you put them on and lace them up. You’ll then place your feet into our old school CCM Skate Compressor machine. The skate compressor will inflate air bladders all around your skates, applying consistent and even outside pressure to help mold the skate boot while it cools.
Heat molding and compression is included for FREE with all new heat-moldable skates purchased at House of Hockey.
For skates purchased elsewhere, our heat molding service is $20.00.
